My Experience

Sometimes we anticipate transition; other times, change arrives unexpectedly. Sometimes we welcome it, other times it devastates us. Regardless, it comes. Change is inevitable - but we don’t have to navigate alone. It can really help to have a companion and guide along the way.

I support people through transitions - life’s inflection points, at once intense and tender, unknowable yet deeply sensed.

From reproductive health experiences, to healthcare training.

From chronic illness to grief, relationship endings to professional pivots.

From the first draft of a piece of writing to the final.

Each transition asks us to reflect, decide, and grow.

In my practice, I work with adults of all ages and orientations. My areas of expertise include grief, loss, transition, creativity, narrative, the healthcare system, and reproductive health. I use awareness, embodiment, and narrative practices to help clients strengthen their relationship with self.  I was trained and certified as a Health and Well-Being Coach through Wellcoaches School of Coaching

I lead the communications team for the City Health Dashboard and Congressional District Health Dashboard, a free health data resource anchored in a health equity mission, at NYU Grossman School of Medicine’s Department of Population Health.

From 2015-2025, I developed then led a Professional Wellbeing Program for early career physicians at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, working with over 50 specialties to attend to the needs of their clinical workforce. I designed programming to attend to moral injury, burnout, and the need many clinicians feel to make meaning - in part, through narrative medicine and medical humanities, as well as workplace improvement initiatives.

I conducted research on resilience with OBGYN residents, which gave rise to the podcast Thriving in Scrubs (Season Four coming Summer 2026!) See other writing and podcasts on the Publications page.

I received a Master of Science in Narrative Medicine - the study of how stories can be used for healing - at Columbia University in 2014. I had designed a similar course of study as an undergraduate at NYU Gallatin School of Individualized Study.

For ten years, I worked as a doula, providing compassionate care for people through experiences of birth, postpartum, and pregnancy loss. I helped lead the Doula Project from 2013-2018, built and led doula trainings, and trained aspiring doulas in NYC clinical settings.
