What are you longing for in your life?
To move through a difficult period in life, perhaps, or to release a detrimental behavior. To acquire clarity, a relationship, or a new job. To be at peace with your thoughts, your body, food. To make meaning out of adversity. To develop resilience. To heal physically, or emotionally. To develop a spiritual practice.
These possibilities may feel exciting, and they may also feel overwhelming, daunting, even impossible.
But you are not alone. Sometimes we just need a guide who is familiar with the forest to orient us, help us determine which direction to pursue, and offer tips not just for surviving the journey but for enjoying it.
As a wellness coach, I accompany clients through the woods. I share the skills and insights I have acquired from professional trainings as well as from traversing my own path--which has been filled with great love and great loss, physical and mental health challenges, and spiritual reckonings.
I help clients design personal wellness maps, navigate challenges, rebound from slips, and develop deep faith in their innate capacity to heal, grow, and live the life they imagine.
Typically, I work with clients for at least six months. We meet weekly, every other week, or multiple times per week. Initial session is 60-90 minutes, and subsequent sessions are 30-60 minutes. We can work in person (in New York City and Brooklyn) or remotely by phone or video call.
First, I help you identify your priorities, values, and strengths. You will develop a personal wellness vision, and set long- and short-term goals. Each week we review your goals and vision, as well as dive deeply into pressing issues that feel relevant to unpack. It is a dynamic process of continual self-discovery and evolution!
Through our work together, you will:
- Achieve your goals
- Build self-confidence
- Reduce stress, worry, and insecurities
- Cultivate a harmonious relationship with yourself
- Strengthen your relationships with friends, family, and colleagues
- Develop resiliency
- Incorporate mindfulness into daily living
I meet you where you are, focus on the changes you feel called to make, and invite you to take charge. I help you identify the core values, motivations, and strengths that will support you in cultivating greater wellbeing. I guide you through effective goal-setting, and navigating obstacles that arise. We develop a relationship built on trust, accountability, honesty, and collaboration. I lovingly challenge and inspire you to go further than you might have alone.
I integrate approaches and philosophies from a wide range of fields, including but not limited to: narrative medicine, positive psychology, mindfulness, yoga, meditation, self-compassion, internal family systems, motivational interviewing, appreciative inquiry, addiction recovery, eating disorder recovery, dialectic behavioral therapy, and the transtheoretical model of change.
