Meditation, mindfulness and yoga are ancient practices that have been revived in our modern world. They offer us profound mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual benefits. Scientific research studies at Harvard show these practices result in benefits such as:
- Decreasing the stress response
- Clearing and sharpening the mind
- Fostering creativity
- Boosting productivity
- Increasing empathy
- Improving mood
- Relieving depression and anxiety
- Steadying emotions
- Improving sleep, immune system
- Reducing headaches and body pain
- Raising energy levels
Practicing meditation, mindfulness and yoga have transformed my life. This inspired me to pursue formal training, to equip me with the skills to offer these gifts to others. I completed certification as a 200-hour Kripalu yoga teacher in 2015, and acquired a 50-hour specialization in restorative yoga in 2016. As a meditation teacher, I draw from a variety of meditation styles, including mindful awareness, self-compassion, loving-kindness, vipassana, visualization, and chakra activation.
Not every style of yoga and meditation is right for everyone, so I take great care to tailor my offerings to each individual and their goals.
